B1A4 (Be the one, All for one) is a South Korean quintet Boy Band formed by WM Entertainment in 2011. They debut in 23 April 2011. They made their debut with their release Let's Fly.The band consist of jinyoung as leader, Sandeul as main vocal, Baro as lead rapper, CNU as vocal and rapper and Gongchan as the youngest. The group was first introduced through an online comic series or Webtoon. B1A4 already release 1 studio (full) album and 2 mini albums (EPs), Various Single and OST.
- Etymology
B1A4 fans are called BANA to celebrate their 100th day on July 31, B1a$'s leader Jinyoung reveals that the boys had come up with a name for their fans. His explanation went as follows : BANA (바나) refers to "BA (Us, B1A4) Na (Our Fans!)", and put together it means "We have fallen for each other (BANADA)"

The first EP "Let's Fly" was release on April 21, 2011 and includes a song writen and composed by the leader called 'Bling Girl'. On the same day, the music video for their lead single 'O.K' was release. Two days later, They made their live debut on MBC's Show! Music Core. On June 22, 2011, the first episode of MTV's Match Up! was aired, featuring Block B and B1A4. The first episode revealed B1A4's second MV for their follow-up promotion "Only Learned the Bad Things".
- 2011 : Let's Fly and It B1A4
On September 16,2011, B1A4 returned with their second EP, It B1A4 and started the promoting lead single "Beautiful Target". MV teaser for 'Beautiful target' was leaked on their official youtube channel on September 8th, and the full MV release on September, 15th. An alternate ver. of the full MV "Beautiful Target (ZOOM ZOOM Ver.)" was released on October 6th.
On November 18, 2011, B1A4 had follow-up promotion for their second PE, IT B1A4 with their second song "My Love" and their promotion in various music program starting from the said date.
Under Pony Canyon, the group released the Let's Fly/It B1A4 Combo Album in Japan on January 25. The group also released their first OST song for the drama Take Care of Us, Captain (kor:부탁해요, 캡틴 rom: butakhaeyo, kaeptin) entitled Sky. They are the first rookie group from 2011 to release an OST single which is used as the ending song.
- 2012 :
On February 3, news broke out that the group is aiming to accumulate at least 2,000,000 followers on their twitter accounts as part of their mission on MNET WIDE Entertainment's segment Sesame Player where the group is currently starring. The show has currently aired 8 episodes and is aired every Friday starting February 3.
After numerous rumors circulating regarding the group's impending comeback, WM Entertainment has announced the a track from the group's first full-length album would be released. On midnight of March 5th, THIS TIME IS OVER was released as part of the group's comeback, along with it was a small clip containing an announcement from WM Entertainment regarding the group's comeback, a teaser photo of member BARO was also released. Photo teasers from Gongchan, Jinyoung, CNU, and Sandeul were released in the succeeding 8 days with a 2 day interval for each release.
The album "Ignition" was slated for a March 14th release followed by their comeback stage on M!Countdown the next day. Their title song "Baby I'm Sorry" was composed, written, and produced by B1A4's leader Jinyoung. The song features a catchy melody and a unique composition that brings out unexpected twists.[8] The music video was released at noon on March 14th. On March 15-18th the group also performed their comeback stages in M!Countdown, Music Bank, Music Core and Inkigayo respectively. B1A4 first full-length album ‘The B1A4 I (IGNITION)‘ sold an impressive 43,513 copies.
B1A4 will be making their official debut in Japan with Beautiful Target (Japanese version) on 27 June 2012. Their album will include versions of Beautiful Target and Chu Chu Chu in Japanese along with a special version of the album which will include a Japanese version of Bling Girl.
